My poor brothers and sister know every single word to this song due to the number of times I played it as a teenager....I played this song at our last family gathering and we all began to immediately sing along...so much fun, laughter and pleasant memories..thank you Gilbert!

omg,i had forgotten about this song until I watched the video entitled,"Gilbert O' Sullivan Utrecht 14 March 2011".Once i started listening to it,the tune came back to me(in case you're wondering-yes,I'm old enought to remember when it was current).I've forgotten some of the lyrics,though. Reminds me of the mid 80s, my sister and I were brushing our teeth at night and singing this song, but we wouldn't say the word "hell" so we'd insert a random word that had to do with our current activity--toothpaste, water, etc. How silly of us! It was our mom's music, that's why we even know the song.

Classic track by Gilbert O'Sullivan from the early 1970's (one of many, i might add).

One of the things I like about this song is that it highlights the fact that birds behave just as badly (if not worse) than blokes, when it comes to love and sex !!
