Riding the Train with Ronald McDonald

While Yumiko and Emily purchased tickets for our train ride home, I was shocked to see Ronald McDonald walk up to the next ticket machine. Here in Japan he is simply known as "Donaldo" (Japanese: ドナルド). During the train ride Emily ran up to Donaldo to inform him that we were planning to have dinner at McDonalds (Makudonarudo in Japanese: マクドナルド) to which he replied "eat lots"). For a short time in Japan Donaldo was actually a very beautiful female character!
