Strathclyde Uni Boys have built ths little rocket from scratch, we were amazed by this tiny monster, we are happy to sponsor these guys by giving rolling road time.
for those asking for some specs, Formula SAE cars are around 450 lb or 250 Kg, about 70 to 90 hp due to the 20 mm intake restrictor, 600 cc engines, 0-60mph time of about 3.5 secs and a LOT of cornering capabilities haha! so those things really move..
These are part of mechanical engineering degrees. You're meant to make one as a final year project. A whole bunch of universities do it and then compete in a big competition to see whos is fastest in a straight line, and how they handle round a slalom course. The winners apparently go on to national events and eventually a international event. Shouls took Mech. Eng. haha
