question 1, why would isreal want to get rid of of the very threat of having Nuclear weapons whether they have them or not,which they probalbly do have, a weapon system that has stopped the Arab nations from attacking them AGAIN!! which they have done on 3 seperate occasions,?

Question 2, If Isreal gave all their Nuclear weapons up in a blase of publicity and then were subsequently attacked by the same Arab states would the UN fight on Isreals behalf to protect a UN ratified independent state?

The issue is just ... fucked. To nullify the threat of nuclear weapons you can : A) Remove them all from the face of the earth. B) Let everyone have them and hope no one goes crazy.

Until B is not met, no chance of A ever going to happen. If US destroys it's weapons and a little "rogue" country gets one, they are fucked. So before A can be met, there needs to be a B. But then...how can you logistically remove all nuclear weapons then?

We are fucked.

US wants (needs) Isreal as a (an other) foothold in Middle-East. Isreal needs (wants?) US for protection, being the only non-muslim country in the Middle-East (and with shaky legitimacy at that).

Isreal is one of the top countries developping high tech weapons, US is the top buyer of those. So it is also good business (not for the tax payers, of course)

Israel the past two years have been really pushing for an attack on Iran and the U.S. won't do it (not because the U.S. is such a good guy but it just is a risky attack that they are not able to pursue at the moment). There are plenty of cases. Noam Chomsky explained it, just search for the YouTube video were he discusses the Israel lobby and how it does NOT boss the U.S. around but that the U.S. is the boss and he gives examples.
