Moroccan Islamic scholars condemn Swiss ban on minarets

After the expected banning of minarets by the Swiss voters, the Moroccan higher council of Islamic scholars expressed their disappointment over this form of extremism and exclusion by Switzerland. Once again, another western country has proved its hypocrisy when they denied thousands of Muslims their rights to practise their religion within its territories. Muslims now should stop overreacting and be aware that the only place where they can expect Islam to be practised freely is their own countries since a lot of western countries have been fighting against Islam.

What's the big deal anyway? God and Muhammad never told the Muslims that they have to do the call externally. They can do it internally within the mosques. So, if you can sound the adhan in the minaret, then just do it in the mosque. It's that simple. That's what they're doing here in Australia and there have been no complaints about it.

Yes, they do. Islam teaches religious tolerance and so it also includes. There was no evidence that Prophet Muhammad ever forbade the Christians from ringing bells at their churches and Jews from blowing their horns in Medina.
