Sampo Lost And Found part 1

This is one of the scenes cut from the US release of Sampo (aka 'The Day The Earth Froze')
It shows the murder of Lemminkainen as he attempts to retrieve the Sampo from Loehi.
The original film was cut from nearly 90 minutes to just over an hour for its US relase. This scene was taken from the German dubbed version, which runs full length.

My mann, this actually is Finnish/Soviet Union production. As far as I know it has nothing to do with USA, except for the publishing of it as a shorter version.

Why is Godzilla speaking in English in the USA when he's from Japan? Movies get dubbed for other markets that's why.

I didn't know there has been made a movie about the finnish national epic in the USA. But if this is made in USA then why do they speak german?

Interesting to note that the Japanese release of SAMPO was written, directed and edited by Ishiro Honda, who directed GODZILLA (1954).
