I think the music was also composed by T M Soundararajan. He also acted in two other movies, KALLUM KANIYAGUM, PATTINATHAR apart from appearing for song sequences in films like Server Sundaram (remember, Avalukkenna ?)

No melody, no sadness....95 % of the thiruppugazh songs are sung on Lord Murugan by an illiterate 'Arunagirinathar'. Modern atheists (idiots - in my dictionary) must know the power of lord Murugan and the existence of God. This is my humble request. Appropriate usage of words, expressions, feelings, pride of Lord murugan, Balancing of Sanskrit words and Tamil words(E.g.: naadha vindhu kaladhi namo nama) all show the richness and intelligence of Arunagirinathar.

The success of 'Thirupppugazh' songs is all of them were based on Thaalam (Percussion-rhythm) and not on 'Raaga'. Thats why all songs are dynamic. The modern example will be 'Sippi irukkudhu Muthumirukkudhu' from the film 'Varumayin Niiram Sivappu' which is based on thaalam only. Kamal will instantly sing to the notes of rhythms uttered by Sridevi. The entire thiruppugazh is based on such rhythms only by. Arunagirinathar'.

Power of Tamil Language, I do not think any other language will have such a glorifying and gorgeous verses. No one other than TMS could have ever dared to sing this.
