banks are in the business to make money on the repayment of loans not make loans to people who didn't have a prayer in repaying them. This is why the two words "credit risk" exist. I think that the greater majority are absolutely clueless about what really happened. Remember that in 2008 a huge number of voters said in exit polls that they were 'sending a message to Republicans in Congress' when in fact Republicans had been out of power for the previous two years and the people they were really upset with were Democrats, but they were too stupid to realize that.
