Gear : Epiphone Les Paul 56' Goldtop Reissue - Boss Sd-1 (not used here) - Korg A3 - Crate Amp
I'm not a fan of all of that hard/rock song lOl, but this one is nice soo...
The sound is the Jimi Hendrix' patch from the Korg A3, with a little more overdrive!
(I precise it's live, no garageband and others only live)

On the intro riff, instead of picking it, try plucking it whith your index finger and thumb, that is how he did it on the record

The studio version of Smoke on the Water is boring. I saw Deep Purple live last year, Steve Morse plays this song so much better, with more riffs and fill ins. Or you can check out the Made in Japan version.

I would prefer some hambucker for overdrive sounds but for cleans P90 are perfect ;)

Good playing, but why don't you play full version of the song?? I hate this version with cut solo :( BTW when you play main riff it's sounds like guitar be out of tune (I don't know, maybe it's only SOUNDS LIKE) Anyway, very good.
