This is the first ad in any campaign ever featuring current state employees actively serving the Commonwealth (and all of us) as our attorneys taking an active role in advocating the election of a future client (whom the governor would be). Are you all okay with that?
Even if Bob McDonnell didn't believe in having women in the workplace, it wouldn't have been politically expedient (or legal) to discriminate against them in hiring. Let's see him put out an ad on that other group he wrote about in his thesis -- gay people -- and how many of them he has hired. It's still legal (and apparently, politically OK) in Virginia to discriminate against them in the workplace, but did he change his mind about gays, too?
Great ad, Bob. I am an unemployed former educator, but I take comfort knowing that your interests lie in protecting the women of our state. There are many of us who need it.
I am conservative and proud, and I hate all these conservative leaders, including McDonnell running away from our values and principles for political reasons or to win over liberal-leaning independents!!!
He is not the Attorney General anymore! This Ad DOES show that as Attorney General, he appointed women as Deputy Attorneys, that he hired a lot of women for his staff, and he sticks up for women rights. Deeds is the one that doesn't put out straight facts by putting out a NEGATIVE ad about a thesis written long ago!
Um, he's not their boss anymore. He's not the Attorney General now. Also, some of those women were Commonwealth's Attorneys, they never worked for the AG.

OUTSTANDING Ad! Way to go Bob, you have my vote, as well as my husbands. Deeds negatively attacks and lies, no morals!
