In the Fatty Gets A Stylist album, particularly "Are Your Ready" she sings an octave lower. I heard that first as it is on a NY lottery commercial. This is a pleasant surprise.

Just saw it on Q and A last week and think she has a beautiful, mesmerising voice. Like to see the lyrics. The tiger can also protect.,maybe we forget to acknowledge him xx

@graemew85 Ha...did you know that this song (as well as a whole new album) is available on itunes from KMH? Only the "band" that sings it is called "Fatty Gets A Stylist" (Kate is the vocalist) and it sounds very, very, very different.

@robbjmc yeah i have been watching their development - sounds a bit too engineered then what Kate normally is like. I cant say I hate it but I like this version of this song better.

@graemew85 I like the FGAS album as a fun, funky new sound for K&K. I get that it's not a "Kate Miller-Heidke album" per se, so I can enjoy it for what it is. And what is it? A further step along the idea of "fearless pop" that K&K were espousing for "Curiouser." Yeah, the folkier, softer approach to songs is just not there. But the voice change was a bold decision...and the effect of a song like "Let Me Fade" is just as impacting, in a different way. I hope a KMH album is coming soon too, tho.
