  • whats happening if you shoot while changing the barrel?

i mean open the side put out the barrel and shoot?

  • @Abensberg Nothing. The firing pin would still be held back within it's bolt head locked by the rollers, which do not speard apart until they hit the barrel cam.

  • is there any up-ward recoil with that mount?

  • @Flamingcat823 Yes, the front leg needs a sandbag on it.

  • @panathageorge did you forget the browning 50 cal

  • Probably the most devastating machine gun of WW2.

  • @BKK19

Pretty much. We (THe US) reduced the fire rate and a few other things, but it is essentially a modified MG42.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH That's why the men of the Waffen SS were the greatest warriors of the modern era. Today POLITICS demands every mention of Nazis is accompanied by an obligatory denunciation of their E-E-Evilness. The fact is atrocities committed by the wehrmacht were fewer than allied atrocities.

  • I read somewhere that the M-60 is just a derivation of the MG42

  • God damn that thing is scary! Makes you wonder why we ever decided to cut back on the RPM on current MG's.

Nothing like 14 bullets in 3/100ths of a second to make the enemy put their heads down and their white flags up!

  • @shaddowmoses91 Nazis were POLITICALLY motivated individuals. Most German servicemen were NOT true Nazis, they simply served their nation. The Luftwaffe in particular had very few Nazis within it's ranks. Your use of the term, 'Nazi,' is actually inaccurate and would offend many German vets. For the most part, the Nazis were to be found in SS units.

  • @bigsnowaowan There's why they're known as the greatest generation.
