For starters lets get this straight I am not SDA however think about this, God in creation rested on the 7th day, JESUS did his WORK of redemption on good friday rested on saturday/sabbath day and was taken up on sunday. Just my opinion I never believe in pushing my doctrine on anyone its between them and the most high. Godbless

The day the Passover sacrifice{10th} landed on the weekly Sabbath.That puts the 14th on Wednesday,Feast day. They didn't want to arrest Jesus on the feast "'They all went to the Garden ,, they came and arrested Him. He was crucified at noon on Thursday. The preparation day BEGINS at sunset Thursday. Not as our days begin.

Hi Bingolly1; It's been about 25 years since I have studied this subject , as it is irrelevant to salvation or the New Covenant.Exodus ch.12 is where the passover was given.Starts on the 10th day of the month.On the 14th day ,the sacrificial animal was slain and eaten.This is the middle of the week as it states in Daniel ch.9.The 10th day is a special Sabbath not the same as the weekly Sabbath , and in different years falls on different days of the week.[To be continued]

This verse in Dan. 9 is Christ. The middle of the week is Weds. 3 days later would be Sat. Lords supper after sundown tues ( passover) Christ dies around3pm Weds,bodies taken off the cross by sundown. Thursday High Sabbath, Friday women by spices Saturday Women rest on weekly sabbath , Christ arises Saturday at sundown of after sundown

Im not a SDA, but nobody ever questions the premise that Christ Arose on Sunday. In Dan 9 reads 27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."
