Stetson Law Professor Peter L. Fitzgerald discussed animal law, its history and scope, and the differences in perspective on animal law in the U.S. and Europe. In fall 2010-spring 2011, he served as a visiting fellow at Cambridge University's Lauterpacht Centre for International Law and as a MacCormick fellow at the University of Edinburgh School of Law. During this sabbatical, he conducted research for his upcoming book "International Issues in Animal Law" and lectured not only at the two law faculties but also at Cambridge's Centre for Animal Welfare and Anthrozoology and the Scottish Agricultural College.
