@freeqwerqwer you cant criticize until you upload a better interpretation played by, yourself.

Bravooooooooooooooooo

outstanding work. In the louder, more exiting sections of the piece, there was a great balance between melody and accompaniment in each hand. I feel that sometimes a lot of pianists over exaggerate the melody, making it sound almost bare.

Great sensations leading to the great climax!

Outstanding!! Bravo!! Now I remember why I quit playing the piano a number of years ago, I was no good!!

f, I heard it in a program of Chopin works at the mechanical instruments museum at Leiden, the Netherlands so cannot upload. The style was not 'tender', rubato more confined, overall shape more aggressive. On the evidence,I suspect Paderewski, Busoni and contemporaries would not be altogether welcome in recital today.
I find points to discuss in Uinskas's performance, but can't bring myself to write him off so brutally as you do.

Where can I hear Paderewski's version of Chopin's ballad #4? Would you upload it to YouTube?
-
"This guy" is far closer to the Paderewski duo-art recording of the work than anything we've heard in many years. Fine colour, solid architecture, vivid playing - a highly satisfying performance.

I find that his attention to detail is quite remarkable.

this is too much....it's not the best interpratation but youre exaggerating...
