@NWguy83 Hopefully they don't have their heads so far up their asses that they'll kill an entire product line based on one poorly done youtube review...
From what I can tell, nutnfancy's two objections to the P224 are: 1. too thick 2. double action. Those are both matters of personal taste.

I don't see the P224 as being a bad concealed carry gun...its not as thin as a .380 because it ISN'T a .380. For those of us who would like more stopping power, this would be a nice option...it appears to be a revisit to the P226 compact style...chopped-down full frame pistol. There are advantages to that.

After skimming the comments it appears the vast majority of people don't understand the P224. It is specifically directed toward people who have the 229 as a duty weapon (and there's a lot of them) and are looking for a back up or off duty pistol. Think Glock 22/23/27 and magazine compatibility.

@RaaronR I agree! Don't forget your safety checks before pulling the trigger.

cant wait to see the 938 i own a 238 for my cc and love it cant wait to see how the 938 compares

Shouldn't you of safety checked each of those pistols Nutn' before dry firing them? Safety first!............. = D

@NWguy83 Regarding the weight, again, negligible difference between P224 weight & M&P Compact, or Glock 27/26 weight for that matter all 4 are w/in 2-3 ozs. of each other w/o mag. They could definitely do better on the pricing, but as far as form factor goes, not much difference to speak of... Keep in mind Glock comes w/ plastic sights, Sig comes w/ steel night sights, justified weight diff, IMO.

i hope the guys at Sig watch your video Nutnfancy. Maybe they will kill the P224 before it hits the shelves, if it hasnt already.
-
@VeracityNation the weight and the price are the main cons against this gun. the width is debatable.

Is the main problem w/ the P224 the DAK? If so, I agree, and have no intention of getting that version. I prefer the DA/SA model, and according to their site they will be coming out with those later. I currently have an M&P compact so the thickness is not an issue for me, especially if this pistol gives me what I have been lacking w/ mine...reliability!
@reeseman67 Yep it's double stack and it's big and heavy. Not a fan.

@MrJwedge You're confusing opinion as fact. Stating that Sigs are more reliable than Glocks is an opinion. As is calling Glocks safety unsafe. The gun won't go off if A. it's holstered B. you keep your finger out of the triggerguard until you're ready to shoot. If it goes off any other time it's because of a lack of training+negligence. You may hate polymer but that doesn't mean polymer guns are unreliable. Not trying to argue, I just don't agree with how you perceive the various manufacturers.
