  • If there was a yag in 2006 maybe plush would have skated even better, but there was noone to challenge him, he had been waiting for this moment for 4 years through injuries, I loved them both, and there is no use for fight, one became better because the other one existed. They had too much different style and both have written their gold pages in fs.

  • my two favourites of all time! i miss them on ice so bad!

  • PLUSHENKO IS THE BEST SKATER EVER! THIS IS NO ARGUMENT! HE HAS CHARISMA, HE IS SO SPECIAL AND UNIQUE! His skating sometimes funny, sometimes passionate, sometimes beautiful! I don't tired of his skating. I watch him every day.

  • @aberrantmoon I think they are both great, but you should not put down Plushenko because due to the Age Difference. I think, you are don't know Plushenko's programs, because he write false things. If you want to the true, you watch this programs: Moonlight Sonata, Tango and Flamenco, Adagio, or Tribute to Nijinsky. Yagudin wasn't such artistry, never. When you watch this, answer to himself: Is Plushenko only jumping mashine? But you adore Yagudin of course....No problem.

  • @dimiiiiiiiiii

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one thinking that way. It would be great to see another perfect couple of rivals like them. There are good skaters even now, but I often feel like I'm watching some kind of dance on ice more than a true sport. I like dance, but in a competition I want to see ice skating, which is a sport: Yagudin and Plushenko are both true skaters. Love them.

  • YAGUDIN is more sincere-MANY reasons he has to stop competing i am sure one reason is to let go of proving peole after he got the 2002 GOLD. SOMETIMES being happy is letting go of the crown to someone who is competitve. YAGUDIN doesn't have to go down to that level. HE GOT GOLDS. no need to get more and more.

  • ahh non ci sono confronti W Plushenko!!!!!

  • Actually, Yagudin beats Plushenko in most of the Important events: Olympics, Worlds...So I guess your statistics mainly based on Russia's Nationals, in which of course Plushenko always rules, because his coach Mishin doesn't want to be pissed off by Alexei Yagudin even in his own country!

Well Plushenko might be the King, but Alexei Yagudin is the living God on ice!

  • *Since 1996 he won 52 Gold Medals!

So what? Did he win that 2002 SLC one? That gold medal is the Holy Grail in all golds. Quantity means nothing compared with Quality!

*Since 1998 he received 75 times the perfect mark 6.0!

But he never got even "A" 6.0 in Olympics, the highest standard competition, while Alexei Yagudin won "Six" 6.0s in 2002 SLC winter Olympics!
