Dear All,

Here is a special interest video.

This is my small contribution for Ubuntu Linux open source development. It is an amazing OS! I think this video is a bit lengthy... But there are lot more features to show!

Check out guys! I am pretty sure you won't disagree :) It is a perfect desktop OS.

Also a free software with elegant features. I have tried to portrait all important features.

  • lol, amd 8x cpu and how much ram? :)

  • I love ubuntu. I don't have this upgrade but I'm getting it. what is that music? I love that too. Who's the artist and the name of the piece? Thanks!

  • @timpster93 I think ubuntu counts each thread so just a quad core, not really a big deal. For instance I have an old pentium D I use from time to time and it says 2 CPU cores even though I know it's just hyperthreaded one core

  • @iamken4real well gonna have to wait 1 more year to see if any improvement, i have seen a lot of linux like zorin OS

  • Falloutman is asking a lot, you could do Okay with 512 MB and an integrated graphics card but Ubuntu is a current operating system so you should keep with a current system. Give preference when using Linux to Nvidia cards, ATI works... but with the latest cards you're just more likely to run into problems.

  • @Ograws Good to hear you're warming to it. I've tried xfce only briefly, I liked that the UI was very simple however the buntu implementation was criticised for not being as light as it could, there are a lot of great things being said for lxde these days. When I get a chance I'd like to try out lubuntu it is supposed to be the lightest most efficient desktop these days.

  • @iamken4real yeah but I'd rather xfce but I use GNOME Shell and Unity when I feel like it and it's getting better as time goes by :)

  • @Ograws I didn't like unity at first but now I really like it, I can use the keyboard very effectively, the whole gnome 3 api change seems to have reduced stability but things are coming together nicely (unfortunately they were changes made after 11.10 shipped, so the proposed repository is needed to get the best of unity on my system). I think people should give it a chance again when 12.04 comes out. Compiz and other special effects are working great now, too.

  • i love Ubuntu
