I agree with you 100%.
I'm FRESH into the Marines, a PFC in fact, and this movie really brings the reality of what could happen to life.
It would be tragic enough for my mother to deal with my passing with everything she's already been through, and I really don't want to think about what she'd do if she had to deal with the media all over the place. I consider that a form of invasion of privacy.
Anyway, that's neat you were in the movie. It had to be an honor to work with Kevin Bacon!

LOL..
it's only to bad that honor doesn't exist in the Department Of Defense.
United States Air Force Base Denvor.
The fallen service men do not get a proper military honor funeral like in the media exaggerated for Lance Corporal Chance Phelps.
The DOD dropped dead troops who don't have family members, criminal waiver enlist men, and unidentified body parts. They did not even creamate the body but just dumped them into a regular garbage landfill.

@Murcielago247 An old punishment comes to mind for those responsible, everyone one of them should, if in the military be given dishonorable discharges. Have a DD tattooed on their foreheads then tared and feathered, put on a rail, and paraded around and have people throw garbage at them.. then give them a pup tent and have them find a spot in Death Valley to live out their days. I ain't kidding here. Short of skinning alive.. they need to feel pain and dishonor.
God Bless you for your service

Great movie. I cried watching it. The actors are perfect, the story is touching. I saw it twice in HBO here in Brazil. Hope I'll watch it again.
