Is that John Valentine Currothers on guitar?

A song about suicide. Artists who are tortured and unhappy. Wow, that's new. I like Siouxsie and the Banshees but you know, you dance in the shadows, shadows will cover you?

@Bobjb999 Oh... How many unguessed riddles there are in music...

A requem for the UK before it's time. For the workers who have seen their wage differential disappear because of the influx of East European oppotrunists, I would suggest you are listening to Boadicea/Elizabeth1/Thatcher.

@7OLGA7 No problem.Btw, the notion the song's about suicide's just my interpretation. On re-looking at lyrics now,it reads like it could be about a suicide pact between two.
"Come let's take flight, let's quit this scene tonight..The cliffs around the crashing sea...wait for me,Undulating far below, where lucid waters flow". Lands End is the S.W. extreme corner of England & it's all tall, sheer cliffs, suggesting the only way to take a walk & get "down by the sea" there is to leap off a cliff!

@Bobjb999 Well, thanks. :)

@7OLGA7 Hi.It wasn't from a book I found that info. about Siouxsie feeling suicidal,mid-'80s,& the personal problems she was having then(although there are Banshees biog. books out there I haven't read).4 yrs. ago I located every Banshees article & interview I could find online.One fan site in particular had links to many articles.It took me a few weeks to read through it all & take down notes along the way of anything that interested me.It's probably all still out there for you to find!

One of the best songs of all time.
masterpiece - Carruthers the last great Banshee guitarist along with McKay and Mcgeoch. Forget all the others.

R.I.P. Siouxsie and Budgie's relationship. It was a phenomenal run.
