I first came to love the song of the Wood Thrush while living in Georgia and have been missing the beautiful song since moving to North Texas. So thanks for sharing this!! : ))

They are really vocal around dusk . It's amazing how they can get that flute sound out of their beaks.

The ones in my backyard/woods sound to say, "roto rooter-teee". I can't find any videos of them singing this. Yet, they sing just like yours.

TenStarsplus !!! Fantabulous !!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful video!!! I think they sound like a Robin, and a Red-Winged Blackbird singing at the same time in a duet!!

They have the most beautiful of all bird songs, I think. Thanks for sharing this!

Are you into bird watching, I am, it is a cool and fun hobby.
I heard one of these guys at this evening's dusk. Their song is indeed beautiful! Apparently they can sing two notes at once. Henry David Thoreau said this about them:
"Whenever a man hears it he is young, and Nature is in her spring; wherever he hears it, it is a new world and a free country, and the gates of Heaven are not shut against him."

Oh how I miss this sound! In my area the woodthrushes don't bust into song until the last week of April when the trees come to full canopy. Each year I write down the date of the first one I hear, because every year it's magical all over again.
