Konica Hexar AF

In this clip you can see how the Konica Hexar works. This is a rare titanium version also known as the rhodium outside Europe. It's similar to the black Hexar and has no databack.
The silent mode is hard to describe in a video where the audio recording level is automatically adjusted.

This camera coast around 1000$ (£600) when it was launched.

This is a nice little shooter for travel or street photography, it has a very good lens and great autofocus, centerweighted AND spot metering, 2 programs and full manual setting and is fairly rugged. Uses 2CR5 6 volt lithium battery.

Thank you for sharing the video. I find the film loading/advancing noise of the Hexar very similar to my Konica Big Mini, in terms of pitch. It's definitely not quieter than a Leica M.

@dealogs I dont think anybody promised the Hexar to be quieter. On this video it sounds loudish but thats just the set volume of the clip. That said the original black Hexar is a tad more quiet I think.

Anyways you pictures dont get better because of the noise level of your camera, it's all about friendly attitude and training...

@gstance1 : I don't find it annoying whatsoever. To be honest I havent been using the Canon P so much. But it is nice and works well, but it's important to get one with a clean and functioning viewfinder. Another fun thing about the P is that people do not seem to mind when you use it in the street, simply I guess, becuase it looks so old, so people just smile at you...

Can anyone explain to me how the focusing system works on this camera? I inherited on from my uncle and now I'm not really sure how to focus using this automatic camera....
