What?! Hammond was a bro! It was Kendra who was the one that sat on her ass the whole game in DS1. Hammond discovered the poison pods in Ch. 6, found the escape shuttle while he was M.I.A., and went 1 on 1 with a fucking brute while he was searching the USM Valor for the singularity core. I was sad to see him die.

The thing is the dub over of the on-line audio is more of a match to Team Fortress 2.

@fanoffail Well, I'm glad I didn't spoil anything too serious, then. That said, go ahead and play Dead Space 2 when you get the chance. I liked it much more than the first game, personally.

@Jandeku I assumed the hallucinations could be collective, I haven't played Dead Space 2 so I don't know about anything that happened in.

@fanoffail (cont'd) The hallucinations caused by the Marker aren't collective, but individual. Otherwise, everyone'd be able to see Stross' hallucinations all the time, on the second game. But you never see what the Hell is he seeing that scares him so much. On top of that, it's even shown quite clearly that the final boss in DS2 is ONLY inside Isaac's mind.

So obviously, when you meet Hammond at Hydroponics and Kendra talks to him too, it's because he's really there. Alive.

@fanoffail Eh, this isn't really a "flame war", no one's insulting anyone here. Just explaining a few things.

Signals were jammed from the start. Both Kendra and Hammond lost communications with Isaac on several occasions, too. Kendra also "went missing" around chapter 2 or 3 for a while, as did Isaac whenever communications were so bad that neither could reach each other. As for Kendra having the same hallucination as Isaac, that makes no sense, because... (cont'd)
