Priceless look on her face on that first live shot. NICE.

For someone who's never shot before she did well, And she hit every target so well done. But one thing I am concerned in is that the tutor didn't mention anything to her about posture and stance. These two things are key to learning the basics in shooting otherwise you'll learn a bad habbit of sucking in the recoil and falling back everytime you shoot.

Nice shooting

20g shotguns can have just as much recoil as a 12 because they are lighter. The youth model may fit her better so she may not notice the recoil as much. To reduce recoil they should have used 7/8 oz loads and a gun that is designed to reduce recoil like a Beretta.

Chuck did a great job with this. The only thing I would be worried about is her leaning back a little too much. I was taught to have somewhat of an aggressive looking forward stance. Good stuff!

she gana fly back

the only thing is that she should keep the finger off the trigger until she's ready to fire.

What's wrong with dry firing? Unless it's a rimfire, dry firing does not do any damage to a modern firearm.

i think its good to start off with 12 ga cuz then u now how the recoil feels and u can shoot pretty much anygun after that and not be afraid of the recoil thats how i learnd only gun that kicks a bit more is the 50 Cal not that much though just a bit

agreed

Most youth 20's are single shots...and they don't have much less kick than a 12 depending on what you get.
it was good but it sounded like she was dry firing(no offence). what type of shotgun is it?

I think the old standard of don't dry fire is a bit dated. New firearms use much better steel and have better manufacturing than the older days. In the Army while learning to fire my M16 - I dry fired probably 500 times and still managed to shoot expert when it counted.

are target rounds loud?
is 1200 fps loud?

Oh yeah, they are loud - you should always use ear protection when shooting on any range. You only get one set of ears afterall.
