Even though ice hockey is a regional sport with only a handful of countries in the top flight, there are legends associated with the game. Gretzky is up there with all the greats of others sports, Pele, Borg, Cruyff, you name it. It's a cheesy little film - as only Americans can make cheesy films - heavy on the syrupy soundtrack - but it is cool and inspirational.
This film is freely downloadable from the Hockey Hall of Fame website.

@NelsonWhalers29 I think you have your priorities in the wrong order. Gretzky is not part Crosby or Ovechkin. And to suggest that Crosby or Ovechkin is part Gretzky is pure Blasphemy. When these two guys retire...look at their impact on the game, and the record books. The name that will Always remain is Wayne Gretzky. Crosby is a little pansy ass whiny pussy who is also an incredible sore loser. At least Ovechkin is a man.

Man I scored 154 G 37 A 191 PTS my first NHL season and last year I had 185 G 40 A 225 PTS...on difficult. Dont even get me started about the playoffs 51 PTS in 16 gamed bud.

@duffy31311 4 200+ point seasons, 3 being in a row (no other player has even had 1 200 point season) 4 Stanley Cups-Captained them all all time goal leader, all time ast leader all time point leader 3 8 point games 7 ast in one game most 40 or more goal seasons most 50 or more goal season most 60 or more gaol seaons and you say hes a one way player, then whats with the highest plus minus of any forward mean? I'll tell you, means Shut Down player foo!

@duffy31311 i disagree i think its virtually impossible for a one way player to be the best ever but hed have to do something seemingly impossible that put him so far ahead of everyone else it made up for the lack of defense. something like not needing one goal to be the all time points leader and then being the all time goals leader on top of that. and no its not all about numbers and he had alot of help but i still believe hes the best ever by a slim margin over some of the other greats
