yes! there's no hope of convincing someone to believe, only suggesting it. To fail to win the trust and respect of the other is to fail the battle of faith, even if you win the argument.
In addition catholic apologists would learn from their marxist, feminist, etc. friends nuances and implications of their own faith.
Dr Hahn says, "...I didn't have a sense of subtraction, I wasn't leaving anything behind..."
I find this puzzling as it's on the lips of most of the converts to Catholicism, but when I reverted, I left shed-loads of stuff behind. Because, even as an Evangelical, nearly everything was Relativist/Modernist, and so I don't really get this.
It seems disingenuous because Protestantism and Modernism share the same common intellectual heritage from Ockham, so it can't have been merely an augmentation
I wish Scott Hahn would let other people speak. On the Ewtn programs he does this same thing- monopolizes the conversation with his great knowledge. It is hard when there are other guests that one would like to hear also.
This is a complete non-sequitur, but I wish Scott Hahn would start wearing long sleeved shirts and show a little cuff under his jackets. He uses his hands so much that it draws attention to his sleevelessness.
I could listen and learn from every word that comes from these Christlike men's mouth! I am trying....and definitely learning! Thankyou forever...
