This is a good game,but...not much connection with a first part.In R1 i know how to fight. using some tactics with different tupe of enemies.Here is...hack&slash with couple of skils.

Also in R1 world is much more open.

With R2 PB is further and further from Gothic 1/2 and these two are perfect RPG...

Also don't like the fact that you don't have to time your attacks anymore. What I mean is, in R1 you had to wait until the end of your attack to press attack again, and it would make your combos literally 2-3X faster than if you just kept clicking. They dumbed it down in this game. You can click as fast as you want, and your guy will attack faster for it. So it is a bit hack-n-slash now, with abilities you can learn similar to R1 (parry and such). I'm on the fence with their combat decisions.

I am playing it now. The fact that they omitted the "dodge" (hopping back, left, or right) is a ridiculous flaw for this game. Makes fighting groups of wildlife a bullshit job rather than fun like Risen 1, since you cant block wildlife with your sword. I play all my games on Very Hard, and killing all the termites was a fucking NIGHTMARE because of this stupid decision.

Other than that and the texture pop-ins (which just about every new game has) and the odd shape-shifting plants, good game.
