ART DISASTERS 3: How To Paint Trees - artist Nathanael Provis (from the Art Disasters "Shame On You!" series)

Nathanael Provis discusses how he goes about painting trees in oils. After expressing his dislike for fan-brushes, he demonstrates a tree-painting technique that he disapproves of, and when he attempts to wipe it off the canvas, it creates a very nasty mess!

Fortunately the background painting was completely dry when the trees were added, therefore the dark paint mess was easily removed. Today this painting remains without trees on the left hand side.
