Kayaking Talybont-on-Usk (Mill Falls)

Grade I to II rapids lead into the Mill Falls, which begin soon after a church on the right bank. The falls are probably best run right to left to avoid a large stopper on the right, halfway down. In very high water, these falls reach grade IV. In low water, a series of steps and pools exist.

I need to have a look at the OS so I can get to the falls with my gear and shoot some HD. Sat and Sunday you get a load of boaters playing on the falls!

i took the furtherst left in my playboat and completely tipped me over and i couldnt roll due to the water pushing me down a bit to the right....i tried again and i went off the small 2ft-ish water fall and succeded (happy).

in low water we ran this .. from the far right (near the house) ... then back across the stopers ( which were non exsistent in low water) to the far left.. this is good because if you get caught out you can cut through the middle... but

only in low water.. great fun though

The falls are pretty cool with the Holiday home overlooking them. I had some freinds shooting some video from the bridge you can walk accross.

Id love to do this when there's a lot of water in it.
