Another test video showing off some very important points:
1. That I'm still alive
2. HD capture test using my new Hauppauge Colossus capture/tuner card
3. How horrible my driving skills are (they get a little better at the end)
4. That I'm still alive
5. Still alive
....
6. Still alive.
*Upon review of the video, the following conclusions are made:
(As far as I can tell) You can edit the captured video using only the provided software, ArcSoft Showbiz. Showbiz has an "Upload to YouTube" button, which makes it incredibly simple to shove your captures onto the web. However, ease of use has its price. The "Upload to YouTube" button has only 1 option that you can change, and that's which size video you want to upload (240, 480, or 720). No encoder options, no audio settings, not even a chocolate cake.
On top of that, the program does a very poor quality pass on the video. As you can see, the video slows down in framerate from time to time, but yet the original capture was a steady 30 fps throughout the entire clip. DIS IS NAUGHT ACCEPTABLE!
Therefor! I shall be tinkering around with other settings (Read: not using the "Upload to YouTube" button) to see if I can get good quality video from this program..... but I'm not hopeful.*
@Origina1saltine It depends on how you have it set up. If you are using the pass-through cables to display on another monitor or TV, then there is no lag. If you are watching the game on the same computer screen that you are doing the recording from, then yes there is a few seconds of lag.
