  • @075Chase This detector is expired anyway.

  • Hey. If that alarm is on the ceiling, make sure its tightly fastened to the base plate before you test it. I had one fall right down.

  • Those alarms also give off a lot of false alarms. So, if you ever hear it, check around to see if its a real fire.

  • They have to be that loud, or else, people from long distances that could be effected would not hear it. Say, if someone is across the house from the alarm sleeping with their door shut, they can still hear the alarm.

  • It's actally tle law that says that fire alarms REQUIRED to be at leas 65 decibals at 10 fett. Therefore it has to be that loud.

  • the are not fire alarms their smoke/monixide dectors

  • We have a Kidde CO alarm..an old NightHawk 4000.

  • The real fire alarms can be louder thats y there r not so many of them in pubic buildings
