I hate Lapierre but scott nichol has has something like this coming his way for a long time now. He's thrown some pretty vicious cheap shots over his career.

@Moviebro Actually, the NHL is considering not allowing players on contract to participate in the olympics any more. It hurts their business.

@Moviebro I don't know how many games you see Lapierre play in per year, but I see all of them. This is not typical of his play. True he does piss people off, but it is more with his mouth and forechecking than things like this. I agree with the suspension, but ya know what - a lot of non-calls by the refs cause rivalries that last for years and turn the game sour. This is minor compared to many of them.

@youropa1 They don't have fighting in the Olympics to keep players healthy for the NHL. I think it's a great idea and I love the fighting in hockey. The quality of play way fine.
