  • Thanks for sharing. can I ask; where did you learn this? It reminds me of the Kendo breathing. I don't recognise it as Tai Chi Chuan method. But obviously I dont know everything. :-)

  • This specific breathing I learned from Tom Whitaker, a student of C.K. Chu from New York City. The other breathing for the tai chi is called reverse breathing. Have a more recent video on that called "Opening to Buddha Stamp."

That may be the breathing you are familiar with in tai chi chuan.

  • yea, i was relaxed until the last two seconds lol

  • Yep, and did you see the replacement above? It doesn't have the feedback at the end.

  • Hi Master Gohring,

    Well done !

I'm enjoying these Posture and Breathing videos.

I'm practicing Zhan Zhuang Qigong and appreciate your clear and detailed explanations on the finer points of the Postures and techniques.

You are an excellent teacher !

  • thanks you I am trying to teach this to my friends and the hands pressing on the center is a great idea for activation

  • My hands and the roof of my mouth was tingling like crazy when I did the chi breathing in this video.I think it worked.

  • This is really very helpful thanks!!!

  • stop trying to put a name on everything and kendo and taichi dissappear into the same thing

  • this really has nothing to do with Taiji Quan directly. Breathing is important in Taiji Quan, but this exercise really is from a Qi Gong set, not Taiji Quan directly

  • Tai Chi meets Pilates!
