Sarah Palin Back on the Campaign Trail - Rebuilding the Republican Party

Sarah Palin returned to the campaign trail Monday, December 1 for the first time since the November 4 election to campaign for incumbent U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss in Georgia. She told the crowd that Chambliss' December 2 run off election will be the first step in a Republican comeback. "It takes rebuilding and I say let that begin here in Georgia tomorrow," Palin said. Governor Palin made four campaign stops today, including speaking to a crowd of thousands in Savannah, GA.


"We must send Saxby back to the United States Senate," Palin said because of Chambliss' support for the second amendment, the right to life and opposition to tax increases.

"You took good care of my son," Palin told the crowd. Her oldest son Track
trained at Fort Benning, GA before going to fight in Iraq.

First off, where did I say I wanted the troops out of Afghanistan? As a proud veteran of the US Army, I stand by the troops and their efforts. But we went into Afghanistan to capture bin Laden and those responsible for 9/11. We took down the Taliban and were on the verge of capturing top al-Qaeda leadership when W, Cheney and Rumsfeld decided to start their own little war and deny us a victory in Afghanistan. Now, 6 years later, the Taliban has returned and is stronger than ever...
