  • What's the difference between the 8000 series new flyers and the 5000 series cummins with ZF ecomat?

  • The 8000s were originally delivered with ISL/ZF, but the 5713-5950 group were delivered with DD Series 50/ZF and are being overhauled with Cummins at this time.

  • Oh. 5713-5950 has a louder engine than the 8000 series new flyer engines, am I correct?

  • I think so.

  • Nice Video! This one seems to have the Voith D864 transmission.

  • Transmission is actually ZF 6HP-592

  • @CHiZZy112 LOUDER AND OLDER.

  • @buswizard alo the Cummins ISL's in the group 5713-5830; 5851-550 will have used Cummins ISL's in them rather than new ISL's.

  • Yeah you're right! Must've been half asleep when I listened to it the other day.

  • There's a little hum at 1:38 to 1:42. That means the bus went over a drawbridge at Passyunk Avenue. Cool recording
