The story is they took a script of a horror movie about a tour in Salem that brought back a witch, and then altered it to be the Blair Witch to cash in on the title. If they would have left her out of it and just kept it Book of Shadows as it was originally titled, it would have done better.

I always saw it as a separate movie series, and from just a horror standpoint, it's really good at playing on the psychological scares, you should try watching it and not thinking about it as a sequel but as it's own movie.

@DacianScorpion - No no, you can't take something like the first one and come out with number two. It should have not been called number two. Just like Halloween three is not part of line up. Does not count. Also they no they screwed up on the movie. It cost $15,000,000 to make and they only brought in $13,223,887. That my friend = fail! lol
