  • I never knew that a large sock could have such exceptional taste in music...

  • @thehamlog

A valuable lesson learned: "Never judge a book by its cover, and never judge a sock by it's size".

  • @TheGargantuanSock Dont judge a cover with a sock on a cock .

  • @TheMichaelseymour

I actually have the Abbey Road EP by the Red Hot Chili Peppers lying around somewhere...

  • Thin Lizzy weren't metal mate. They were the worlds greatest melodic hard rock band on the planet. They oozed charisma and walked with a self assured swagger yet never came across as arrogant. They were a one off.

  • @MrConeman Ofcourse not, Gary was a solo player. He was too good to share leads with anyone. Ha! He did share with your boy Gorham for a while, but I believe he played most of the solos that were not twin leads on Black Rose.

  • @ds23efi2cv6 You got that right...

  • 0.19..0.49:the swetest sound i ve ever heard on guitar..

  • @TheGargantuanSock hahahhaha I just red this reply for the first time, made me sit behind my pc with a grin turning in laughing out loud on this autumn monday morning..... that was really hilarious.

  • This band is heaven.

  • @GTWHITEFEVER ... and Rory

  • @jesselee400 Gary also did not start the dueling twin guitar sound. He joined Lizzy and replaced Eric Bell for a single tour, of which there is little or no recording. Brian Robertson, and Scott Gorham started the Lizzy twin guitar sound.

Gary joined the band MUCH later for the Black Rose album, in which Scott Gorham also played, creating the twin lead sound again on that album. Not Gary alone. Don't get me wrong, Gary was one of the greatest of all time, but he didn't invent this sound.

  • @jesselee400 You're an idiot.

If it wasn't for Thin Lizzy there wouldn't *BE* an Iron Maiden. They'll tell you that themselves. Adriann Smith and Dave Murray made a conscious desicion to try to emulate and sound like Lizzy's guitar sound.

Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE Iron Maiden, I went and seen them a few weeks ago and they are still amazing. But Thin Lizzy pioneered the twin guitar sound. Iron Maiden owe them everything.
