TrueFate (2010)
Has your love ever left you? Have you ever fought dearly for your love? Based on the Serendipity (2001), TrueFate (2010) portrays the unseen events of Jonathan Tregor's breakup with his fiancé Halley Buchanan on her wedding day. Halley must endure the truth of her groom's serendipitous love affair, and truly fight to get him back. In the process, she learns more about truelove, accepts her true fate, and becomes able to set him and her free. This film is about the "everyday love", and how it might just be as beautiful as the serendipitous love.

Director's Notes:

This film was inspired by the great feats of everyday people for their love ones. Far too often everyday love is pushed aside for the illusions of a more grandeur love. Serendipity (2001) does just this by glorifying a fateful, serendipitous love affair. TrueFate (2010) uses the same story, but glorifies the everyday love of a fiancée in waiting. It is the hopes of the film to illuminate an alternative view of what amazing love is and can be.

Because TrueFate (2010) poses a hypothetical series of events and conversation not shown in Serendipity (2001), two versions of the film was made to foil contrasting reactions. The two restriction of the film is that the groom has to end happy, and that the annulment of the engagement is completed in the grooms and bride's final meeting. There are no right answers, only ones that connect to us more.

  • the music doesnt fit

  • @Stalinx20

Thank you for the comment. About the music, this was one of our first composition. We thought the sounds of the Cello, Violin, and Harp brought the gravity of the situation, emotions and transitions well. The cello was for the gravity, the violin was for the voice in her conscious and soul to forgive, and the harp was for the undying hope that all women tend to carry, perhaps too much. The only good thing that came out of Pandora's Box was hope. So perhaps it's their burden.

  • Good job :-) I really like it :) But I don't get why Jonathan stands quiet and doesn't even say "I'm sorry" throughout the monologue :-)

It is nice that you made a good story about Halley :-)

Thank you, and you hit it right on; I wanted to glorify Halley, because the Serendipity glorified Jonathan and Sarah. I took inspiration from THE WOMEN (1939), a movie that had no male characters, but involved mostly topics about men, marriage and divorce. I wanted Halley to be everything in the film, and Jonathan's only "I'm Sorry" came at the beginning of their conversation. Because by the end, she doesn't need his sorry; he should be sorry for himself choosing the wrong girl.

  • too much drama... back round music almost make me sleep... all in all :D good job.. ur definitely going to get better i hope too see more on u :D

Thank you, I actually thought the background music was one of the finer parts of the film. As for the drama, I actually felt people might think it's too little drama, after all her groom is leaving her on her wedding day. I think the most natural reaction is anger and disbelief, but since it had to be resolved and end kindly for the groom, I actually had to compress the 5 stages of grief into one last conversation between the two. Perhaps that is why it's too much drama.

  • @kenziemlb I like gosh okay, it's stupid bitch i can't abide.. If a girl loves me that much, she don't have to worry about me loving her right back.

I like this piece of cenima. it was well done. I was waiting for it to get silly but it was really theatrical. But the Whoe that sent it to me is probably one of these local blacklisting Dogs angry because I don't cave under the pressure of concensus and 'tough-love' hypocracy. I just don't take spiritual advise or critisizm from Devil worshipers.

  • @kenziemlb No jack, she's right, every last bit of it.. The point I thing is trying to make here is that hot women deserve to be loved for their minds and not their half naked bumps.. WHICH I TOTALLY GET.

But love and attraction are two different things altogether. And I just don't let society set the rule for what I deserve to be attracted to..

i can take rejection fine from somebody I like but will not appologize for thinking outside the box when it comes to my happiness.

  • wow... I never have seen someone acting so badly... It really shows that her heart wasn't really broken...

  • horrible

  • I hope TrueFateStudio doesn't charge for this shit, fuck its terrible.

  • hi this a stupid video does she ever shutup he dont like her gosh just fave life blonde!!!

  • uhm... O.o nooo??

  • I felt the sadness from this, Very well done, Love the music that was added in. Really helped with the effect.

  • Thats was what i felt, when my ex fiancee left me, this piece basically said what i wanted to say to him. Except, i wouldnt want to see him ever again.

  • As far as the film goes, I fully expected to bust a side laughing at what she was about to do to him. I picked up on a couple Quan Specials in there, but that was a serious piece, and very well acted and produced. This guy is a serous film maker.

As to the person who shared this clip, (and I have no doubt that is was a 'sista'), I have to say this does not change my perceptions or appetites. Sooner of later, you guys have to choice between: makeup and femininity, or attitude and speaches.
