Honduras's de facto government has re-invited a mediation mission from the Organisation of American States it had previously expelled, amid a continuing clamp down on opposition media and protests by supporters of deposed president Manuel Zelaya.

  • Micheletti closed all the opposition media, he is not for freedom of speech, Zelaya never did that. Do you train yourself to think backwards or what?

  • Right. Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, UNESCO, the UN Human Rights Council, the Inter American Court of Human Rights, the Spanish Human Rights Assosciation and many others are just for communism who make out of what dictator Micheletti does with his military a Hollywood movie conspiring with their documents.. I think the one who needs to get a reality shower is you and stop neglecting what they are doing to our peoples.

  • @syphyryna

What planet do you belong to. The coup regime has robbed Radio Globo's transmitter, beat up its reporters and sent them to jail, murdered street demostrators, raped women protestors, gassed protestors, imposed curfews, beat up and clubbed women and the old. The old oligarch's constitution that has now been suspended is null and void. THE HONDURAN PEOPLE HAVE AWAKEN, AND NOW MUST BE DEALT WITH.

  • It's not speculation. It's fact. You are correct at the part where, Zelaya isnt a Dictator and never was. Because the Government did what was best for the country.

There is no genocide going on in Honduras. WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING?! This isnt "Hotel Rwanda", its not Hollywood. This is real. Don't go barking out accusations against things that you know not of.

If you are for Communism, than Naturally, Zelaya is a great guy.

If you are for freedom of speech, human rights, than your not for Zelaya.

  • Friends and countrymen. The HONDURAN CONSTITUTION is a document that represents only the privileged elites. In fact they drafted it for themselves in order to perpetuate their economic dominance. It has no revalence to the vast majority of the Honduran people. Zelaya's time was up when he raised the abismal minimum wage which resulted in reducing the poverty rate. The constutution is now null and void. The game is over.

  • Save Honduras from retarded people, from those speculators who accuse him of WANTING to break the constitution, of WANTING to be a dictator, when he isn't one nor ever was. Save Honduras from a GENOCIDE DICTATOR CALLED MICHELETTI. THERE IS NO CONSTITUTION IN HONDURAS, ALL FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS ARE SUSPENDED AND PEOPLE ARE BEING REPRESSED AND KILELD, THE OPPOSITION MEDIA IS CLOSED, where is democracy and the respect for laws and constitution if there are NONE???

  • Also, FYI, the UN HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL IS PROCEEDING TO BUST THESE HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATORS. or is it just that Fidel and communists are the only ones who do so? So Hitler, a far-right dictator was pro-Human rights as well as Micheletti or what? Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, IACHR have all reported the violations of human rights of Micheletti. Zelaya did NONE during hsi government.. GENOCIDE IS NOT JUSTIFIABLE; NOT EVEN IF IT WERE FOR COMMUNISM, FASCISTS THINK OTHERWISE.

  • I know what is happening in HONDURAS, you mong, we're NOT talking about Iran, Irak, nor Afganistan, neither about China, Cuba nor Gaza. Why do you neocons always use strawman arguments? Zelaya is not Fidel nor Chavez. IF you knew the first thing about Honduras or had a clue about how government works, you would know that Zelaya couldn't ratify the ALBA treaty alone, the Congress and Micheletti ratified it and as of today they have refused to leave it. Blame them for being Chavistas!

  • I think you should go and live in Cuba.

And then try to advertise your HUMAN RIGHTS.

If you don't believe that we are still living in (a) Cold War, than you certainly have not been listening to the news. Especially, with what is happening in Iran. Though it is not as "terrifying" as what was going on during The Cold War, it should not be taken lightly

  • YES!! Save Honduras!! Save Honduras from Zelaya and his Communist friends and mentors!

It's a good thing that the Military acted, when it did. Yes, they should have been more public about what was happening within the country, months before. That, Zelaya was trying to change the Constitution, to where he would be in lasting power.

Just one more month and a new President will be elected. And Zelaya will be out of opportunities to change the Honduran Constitution.
