Cheap and easy to fit, this security cable will stop casual theft of your laptop. Especially useful during setting up your equipment when your back might be turned.

  • you can easliy pull this out in about 5 seconds, motherboards out whole as well.

  • @jordyGFC No, wrong. You obviously haven't seen how a kensington lock slot is arranged inside a laptop chassis. Nothing to do with the motherboard whatsoever.

All locks / cables can be defeated with brute force / cable cutters / lock picks. The lock is a visible DETERRENT not a guarantee against theft.

  • you really need manual focus

  • @ohaiann I really need a better video camera :-)

  • It's a cheap deterrent. Like I say in the video, you can get through it with bolt cutters but if someone is at your gig with bolt cutter's you've got bigger problems to worry about.

It will stop someone lifting your laptop and running off with it while your back is turned.

    And it doesn't cost £50.

  • @valewaytechnology it was a joke... was just making a point of how shit they are

  • I wouldn't buy the Poundland type, this one looks fairly similar to that.

However, on Keskington's own website, they can cost £50 to £80 ish per a cable, but obviously a lot better quality.
