Kailash Kher is an Indian singer of popular sufi music. He has risen to fame with a series of hits for various Bollywood blockbusters. He grew up listening to his father rendering Indian folk songs all day and started learning classical music from the age of twelve. He was inspired by legendary Pakistani Sufi singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. This song is actually a cover of the song that Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sang for the movie "Kartoos".

its said that his voice was VOICE OF HEAVEN......... no doubt about it.....
although kailash sahib is best for sufi singing...but ustad to ustad hai na

Succinctly speaking it says only those who have loved can really understand what LOVE is and then it goes on about the legend of LOVE in most beautiful poetic terms - what it makes you and what history has witnessed LOVERS doing for its sake. If you need full translation of lyrics, I can work on that. I have been mad about Nusrat since immemorial times but lyrics have their own weightage.

Ustad nusrat fateh Ali khan is & was the greatest singer in genres such as these period. & I'm not saying this cuz I'm from pakstan so anyone with ur racist Pakistani/ Muslim hate comments.. Stfu!! Cuz u know it's true! & don't say he made his mark in India when we all know he was recognized globally.. No disrespect to my Indians.. We are all one.. Pakis.. You can find this song on his album 'Aawargi' (2005). Unfortunately I do not have this in mp3 format anymore, but maybe you can find it at iTunes.
