That's my position in a nutshell! However, I would argue that the two parties are equally disgusting and only different in rhetoric, as is evident by the way they all play to special interests! In the end it's just one big coin operated government, wherein the persons or persons with the most coins to play will have their interests protected and the PEOPLE will get fucked!

After a while, racism appeared strong in the north and weakened in the south. The Northern republican ideology became popular in the south as a reaction to the increasingly radical and 'progressive' democratic party. The racist groups you speak of are absolutely not affiliated with any type of republicanism--but with a remnant of southern democratic hate.
