@Welanderhumanbeing > Wow! How do your ears turn the pegs? ;)

I saw Jimmy Page's guitar tech use a tuner similar to this when Jimmy broke a string on his Les Paul, Jimmy stepped to stage left (where I happened to be seated in full view) his tech quickly removed/replaced the broken string (low E) and slapped the tuner on, wound and tuned in seconds, Jimmy gave the string a couple of quick stretches the tech used the tuner again and Jimmy was back in business in less than 60 seconds, never unstrapped the guitar ,this was back in the late 80's with The Firm

for some people its great and for some people its useless
if you cant go by ear or are to lazy to get a regular tuner then get this
if you can tune by ear dont get this =P
-
this would save me alot of time! haha

1.Get reference tone (A)
2.Tune your 5th string to that note
3. Tune the rest of the strings by ear
4.Skip buying a useless device that hinders your ability as a guitarist
5.???
6.Profit

It does have a use that I can see. People in guitar shops can use it to tune a guitar quickly, it would save them alot of hassle.
