I just got my Razr Maxx (same exact software and hardware as Razr except for the battery), and the first thing I did with it was update the software. I believe they just pushed this build out today, but it's Gingerbread 2.3.6. Will this method still work or am I risking a bricking of my phone?

I rooted my phone, an today o wantes to unroot with an app called Unroot That only deleted superuser and some how im still rooted because i try to download the ota update 2.3.6 an it wont let me .... If i re-root again with same files, will it damage, or freeze my phone? Any help would b appreciated

This does not work anymore if you updated from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 on razr. You need to use Motofail's update to get rooted again.

You say choose Charge Only.... but the motofail method for the 2.3.6 says to choose mass storage, i believe....

I just tried this following the instructions in the video and it failed. I got a bunch of failed messages in the command window some saying the filesystem is read only and such. It however installed something called Bionic Bootstrapper that when run gives me two options. Bootstrap recovery or Reboot recovery. Does this not work anymore?

i can not root my phone I got replacement and doing everything the same way and it will not do the same thing. I t is failing and just installing the bionic bootstrap.
