New original song, "The river and the rain" by Derek James Olson. Focuses on the instrumental edge of Derek's folk-driven inspirations, but remains slightly poppy in sound. Lyrics and all instruments played by Derek- special thanks to Zach Heinkel for letting me use his mandolin. ;) Lyrics below:

I was walkin down the street when a voice spoke to my left, it said sir have you any change to spare. And I looked up, frozen, as the smile ran from my face.. Sorry, but I haven't got a cent. And I continued down the road, feelin heavy as a log.. This world is full of lost souls and I'm one of them, my God. Yeah, I'm bare-boned for you to see. Girl, that's what you do to me. But I could surely use a little rain.
