  • @HelmutVillam Well spotted.

  • Where did he get the crew of 2300 for Hood? Hood had just over 1400 crew at her sinking.

  • @melwabz horses have bigger

  • Most battleship were so heavily armored and extensively compartmentalized, even a 5000lb bomb would have a hard time sinking it. but there's one weakness. She carried in her a motherload of shells and explosives. Most battleship died when her magazine was penetrated and the shells and propellants ignited.

  • lol japanese planes r like bamboo and paper!!!! lol now thats what u call owned!

  • NEVER, EVER, CONSIDER YOURSELF RACIALLY SUPERIOR! REMEMBER, LATELY WHITE MEN HAVE BEEN DISCOVERING THAT BLACK GUYS HAVE BIGGER DICKS THAN THEY DO!

  • @Gnoppong they were also refitted a while before wth heavy anti-air capability, and prince of wales' was similar to that of the iowa class, if the iowas had ever been left out on their own they would have suffered the same fate, its the whole reason battleships were relegated to the roles they were by the time iowa popped up

  • @Gnoppong Dude after Pearl Habor Prince of Wales and Repulse where sunk by Jap aircraft and they were manned with AA guns and ready to fight also they had 4 destroters with them

  • @Gnoppong Japanese airforce caught the Americans totaly by surprise. There wasnt enought time to react to the threat. Most of the crew were on land when the first bombs and torpedos fell. It was a good thing that the Iowas werent there or they would have been turned into scrap metal. What use is from powerful AA guns if theres noone to man them.

  • Some had there casemate guns removed. In there place dual purpose guns were added. USS Pennsylvania had some casemate guns removed as well as the 3in AA guns. In there place 5in 25cal dual purpose weapons were added. USS Nevada received eight 5in 25cal AA guns. She like Pennsylvania previously had 5in 51cal guns in casemates. Some of the 51cal guns remained.
