@spivedog77 I know what you're talking about. I also heard the re-mastered version of the concert on the radio when they had the Led Zeppelin special back in late 80's. I think it was played on the radio 2 or 4 months later after the concert.

Phil Collins sabotaged the sound. I'm just kidding but Phil Collins is a dick to Led Zeppelin and to me made Zeppelin sound bad when he drummed with them. The #1 problem here, mostly, is that the sound is actually messed up. Jimmy's tone sounds WAY off. You can BARELY hear JPJ's keyboard. The drums don't even sound right at all! But if you listen past all that, they are actually playing good with each other. Jimmy made some mistakes and Jason wasn't his father. But #1 cause of this was sound.

also, they were supposed to go on with Robert around ten pm and they ended up going on at 1 am.

Not only should the sound guy be shot, but the guy responsible for tuning Jimmy's guitar should be severely beaten, too

the sound engineers are dicks, blocking out Jimmy's guitar, they deserve a damn good thrashing!!!!

@Phrenny-yes, it looks as if someone did, and it also looks as if Robert did not take offense, judging from the way he scanned the crowd afterward and smiled. I would hazard a guess that it was an item from a woman's attire that is essential for proper coverage.

I ws here for that show back in 88, and I remember the sound was terrible. Whoever the sound guy was should have been shot!
