@Jeffrizel1986 That's my point. You said "everyone" in your original comment. I was just pointing out that these are celebrities groomed for TV, so of course they're gonna look top notched. Plus this was the glamour ers, these same people off camera look like everyone else. When I see old pics of my grandmother and her friends at formal events they look like stars when I see pics of them from around the house...not so much! Lol

@WhoCares3001 I can only say celebrities since I wasn't living in that timeframe... I can only go by what I see on tv but everyone looks so healthy and well groomed..

Betty is a beautiful person inside and out! You can just feel her vibration. A gentle soul.
It's just amazing how women and their clothing were so important back then. The garment industry was huge! And 'girdle'??? That's already a lost or foreign word! Wonder how we will see ourselves and what we deem 'important' (in 2011) another 50 years from now! Humans are so 'young' in the scheme of things!
