@210482fmj That an approved repair right out of the maintenance manual for the Airbus. All it is, is a stainless steel rub strip on the top of the flap and some times they peel up so to temporarily repair it you tape it back down with speed tape and put in on monitor to repair later. You know, like when there's not 170 people sitting on the airplane waiting to leave.

Dam airbus hydraulic pumps make lots of noise
no, my dad has worked on aircraft for almost 40 years, he calls it speed tape, they use it to cover up holes smaller than tennis balls. It's an aluminium foil with a thin plastic coating one side and adhesive the other.
