    A patois can be from various islands or countries not just Jamaica or west Indies, also a Haitian patois will be different from a Jamaican one due to their primary lingua franca , versus Jamaican which is more English with some French , Mz Dynamite has a more british accent with something sounding like it came from the Bermuda triangle, sometimes a patois can help 2 cultures communicate better however their slang will be different in many cases.
